I knew Phil from the ‘80s onwards, when we worked for HP. In more recent years, I met with him at many happy get togethers in a Reading pub. We shared a liking for real ale. He was a really great guy whose smile I will always remember. I enjoyed the conversations with him. I was totally shocked by this news and wish his family strength at this difficult time.
